1934 Citroën Traction
cabriolet « 7S » - An unique modele. The Line Tractions "7
S" was produced from July till September 1934 as a pre line of the
"9". It is in fact a "7" with an engine of a
"9" (1900 cm3). Only hundred were produced (see books of Jérôme
Collignon and Olivier de Serres). One of the firsts ever released, this
cabriolet Traction (Serial Number 20109, released on August 18TH, 1934) is
one of the serial "7S" that we knows nowadays, according to the
various sources of information wish we have. It is a unique model, a real
cabriolet and with a finish "Competition of Elegance". This option
"Concours d'Elegance" (in French) was a special order wish was
possible for the time. Several details present on the vehicle proved this
specificity, before the restoration, such as: mono colour blue
"Franc", upholstery and carpets in same color, blue pale
"filets" on the wheels... The painting (blue), the upholstery
(blue) and the hood (black) were redone as they were on the original model.
Because this a very unique model, the owner wanted a perfect restoration, in
the absolute respect of as it has been in 1934 when it has been released.
The restoration was only made by professionnals, who have a big reputation
in this field. The vehicle was bought in 1997, very complete and in a
very good condition, with regard to his age considered. The rare missing
parts were looked with the biggest care and/or were picked up on a 7S
Berline, bought specifically for that reason. The restoration lasted 7
years (2001-2007), with the help and the advice of two of the best
specialists of the Tractions and famous authors concerning the firsts
Tractions (1934-1939). The restoration was ended on August 15th, 2008. The
vehicle has been driven 100kms since that time. The vehicle has the
AUTHENTICITY CERTIFICAT of the CITROEN CONSERVATORY, and the French
Technical Control that authorise the drive in France (compulsory). The
vehicle itself and all its accessories were totally disassembled and
restored according to the rule book, then assembled before the paint for
adjustments, the disassembled again for painting, and finally
reassembled. The condition of the vehicle is truly
Concourse. Price
is 150.000 €, possible negotiation . Contact owner at 00 33 6 28 35

1955 Citroen Traction Avant
for sale. Black with grey interior. Car runs nicely. I use it as much as I
can in good weather. New engine in 2004. Transmission rebuilt in 2010. Brakes
and wheel bearings are all new. The car was used in the movie "Curious
Case of Benjamin Button". Paramount replaced the interior at the time,
in 2005 and painted some sections. The car should get a nice paint job now
and this is out of my interest. Pictures
available of course and I would be willing to drive the car down to New York
or anywhere in New England. Rick Shousha
