1972 Citroen SM. Stock and original
1-owner car. Came from a family estate in NV. 72K original miles. No
modifications, "conversions" or any alterations. Original 5 spd
manual transmission. Shifts very well through all gears. Clutch does not slip,
grind or chatter. Good running condition, with no fluid leaks. Cycling about
3-5 from overnight parking. ALL NEW SPHERES front and rear, along with
regulator and all drive belts. Runs well. No overheating problems or
electrical issues. All lights, instrumentation, gauges and controls work.
Pewter color; finish is dull from age. There is no
rust on this car. It has three little spots where it turned brown from
exposure, but there is no perforation. It is cosmetic. I have a very good
close up photo to show. Interior is very nice for its age, with minimal
wear to driver's seat. Original Tabac brown leather upholstery
is nice and still very pliable, not brittle or cracked. Very nice center
console. Two cracks on dash. Nice headliner. Enclosed European-type
headlights. Non-smoker car.
Unrestored, super classic SM. Serious inquiries only please. $6900. Shipping
can be arranged anywhere nationwide and overseas. Lots of photos available.

1972
Citroen SM, Mileage 80,986, VIN 00SB6167, Color – White
exterior, tan leather interior. This car was purchased new in
Kansas City, Kansas in 1972. My grandfather bought
this car from the original owner in 1975. He drove and babied this car until his death in 1988.My father then moved the car to
Des Moines Iowa, drove it for one year and then parked it in his garage until 2006. I brought the car to
Minneapolis in early 2006 to have an extensive restoration done to the car – inside and
out. This car was always
garaged. The car was stripped down to bare metal and taken apart. The glass,
rubber seals, lights and chrome were in good shape. There was very
little rust on this car, but all rust was removed and new body panels were
made by hand. The bodywork was done right and looks great. I had a very nice paint job done and I repainted it the original color – white.
Interior: All brand new leather seating (front driver, passenger and full back seat), custom leather door
panels to match leather seats, carpet and headliner were installed. The dash and center console are in great shape.
Lots of mechanical work including: hydraulics, starter, alternator, carbs,
rear brakes, feul pump, ignition, custom exhaust, new tires and much more. Price $17,000

1972 Citroen SM : 2.7 litre engine with 5speed
trans - Always Southern California car. Parked for last 11 years due to
need for chain replacement. Although this car needs engine work and
probably all spheres, accumulators, carb & cooling system work - it is
totally rust free with straigh body, bumpers and all good lenses. The
black interior leather is dried and cracked but replacement kits are available,
tires have decent tread but have aging cracks. This would be a fantastic project
car for someone willing to undertake the mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment
of a rust-free California car - $4,500. Call or e-mail for pics and
details. 858-566-2860 or citroenconcours@yahoo.com
