Read the '66-'72 D-seriesand Chapron Buyers Guides for tips, traps & values.
As Citroens become more rare, the
prices will continue to rise so if you've been considering purchasing one, it's
better to do it sooner rather than later. They can be great investments if they
are well cared for, so now may be the time to consider refinance auto loan on
your daily driver. The money you save on the refinance auto loan from low
interest rates could be just what you need to get into a great Citroen DS. This
website:https://www.roadloans.com/auto-refinance/
is a good place to start
checking out rates, terms and so on so you can see if a refinanced loan would be
in your best interest. Just remember to tell the wife that it's not another toy,
it's an investment!

DS19 Chapron 'Usine' Cabriolet - exceptionally restored and now in
virtually new condition and restored using original Citroen NOS parts.
Recently appraised by an impartial French expert in classic cars who is also a
declared authority on the DS who stated the restoration was "commensurate
with the highest level of the original specifications, executed with
extraordinary care." In August 2012 a German insurance appraiser
gave the vehicle the top condition rating in the class of classic cars.
In addition to its meticulous restoration, the hydraulic system was changed to the LHM
(green fluid) system which improves the
vehicle's reliability and simplifies its operation and maintenance.
This car will be part of the auction at the Grand Palais
in Paris during the week of the Retromobile, to be conducted by Bonhams on
February 7, 2013.

1970 DS21 Pallas, once owned
by a concert violinist who lived in the Phoenix Area that spared no expense
maintaining this car. I have a thick folder full of receipts for the
maintenance performed on this car since he owned it. I bought the car from his
estate 10 years ago. I am forced to sell the car because of divorce and need
to cash her out. I had to decide between this or my Mehari.
The black leather interior is very good shape (the rear
seat & headliner were redone several years ago). It has updated
retractable seatbelts. It has cold-blowing A/C (I just installed 2
fresh rebuilt condensor fans).
Good mechanicals: about 5,000 miles on engine & clutch
with new water
pump, spheres, fuel pump, axle boots - I also rebuilt the alternator &
rebushed the carb. Recent exhaust - tight with no leaks. It has a Pertonix electronic ignition.
The
front brake calipers have been rebuilt - the front brake rotors are nice and
thick and the pads along with the parking brake are in fine shape and
functions correctly. The radiator has a high efficiency core that runs
cool, even
on the hottest days with the A/C on. The Semi auto gearbox shifts like a
Citroen should. It creeps off when you release the brake button and shifts
smoothly at speed. All lights and switches work. Nothing prevents this car from being driven wherever you
would like. To make this a stunning show car, I would freshen the body and
paint it. See more pics at: Picasa

1972
D Special. It
has many Pallas features that were added by a previous owner. I bought it about a year and a half ago and have not had the
time to enjoy it as much as I wanted to. Also I have moved and do not have the room anymore. Ok lets start with the bad news! Cylinder #4 has low compression. My
mechanic tested it and the pressure was at 50! Other cylinders are running
great (can't remember what they tested at). It has a slight electrical problem
where the dash light and one back running light goes out periodically.
Interior needs work. It's original so it's a bit beat up. Previous owner
removed Pallas trim when he repainted it.
GOOD NEWS: Previous
owner put approximately 15k into the car. Too much to list. I have a stack of
receipts going back to 1999. Some
of the work done-replaced carb(DB Weber), replaced fuel pump, installed
electronic ignition, etc; Work I
had done: New starter (not refurbished) (new ground +battery and cables), rear suspension rod and boot,
valve adjustment, new whitewall tires(4),new motor mount, new head gasket and
seals, new distributor cap, new choke cable,
plus much more. 133k
original miles! Beautiful paint
(could use a wax and buff!) factory color (original color was a bit more burgundy) Turning
Headlights!!!! Suspension
work great Runs so smooth-Before
having the problem with cylinder 4 it was running perfectly! New cd/usb stereo +new speakers and amp!R
registered in California. Kept
under a car cover for most of the time I had it (car cover included.

1972
Citroën DS21 - California
car with only 29K verified miles.
Car has been sitting for last 20 years
and currently being mechanically resurrected. Has factory AC with
bumper-mounted AC condensors and full-length underdash console - AC has been
upgraded with new hoses, dryer and waterpump. Drivetrain removed to deal
with 2 bent valves so engine & transmission will be receiving mechanical
freshening. No wear visible on pistons & liners - cylinder head has
original thickness with no noticeable wear on the guides - the combustion
chambers and water galleries appear as-new. Engine will get new gaskets,
engine mounts, oil pressure switch and timing chain. Transmission will get
new gaskets and seals. Front brake rotors are original thickness with
as-new pads. New tires, clutch disc and exhaust. Recored radiator
with all new cooling hoses. Relined gastank with refurbished carb and new
fuel pump. New battery, rebuilt starter and alternator with extensive
correctly-done rewiring. Body is straight and rustfree but has a poorly
redone paint job - some of the upholstery is sun damaged. Car can be
bought with mechanical refurbishment or completed with cosmetic work. This
is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to buy an incredibly low-mileage CA rustfree
DS21 with the highly-sought-after factory AC. Currently being worked on by
long-time experienced Citroen mechanics at Citroen Concours. For more

1974 DS23ie Pallas 5-speed with AC.
The ultimate non-Chapron D model. Largest engine size (DS23), fuel
injection, 5-speed transmission, Pallas model, European headlights & trim,
leather interior and AC. This is one of the few fuel-injected D models
with AC as the AC installation clashed with the fuel-injection components when
the car was new. A previous owner contracted us to install the factory
AC (bumper-mounted condensors) which we were able to do because of the smaller
size of contemporary AC parts - included the installation of an aluminum
ultra-cool radiator. Currently undergoing damage repair work as the car
was hit from behind at a stop light and pushed into the car in front of it (no
frame damage) - will get repolished stainless bumpers and new European
taillights in addition to a full repaint (all trim removed). Call for
more details $POA - Rudy 858-566-2860 or email citroenconcours@yahoo.com
